The school system, which established institutionalized socialization in conjunction with education, was not intended to include de facto surrogate parenting in the long run. The government overstepped missional boundaries when it took on parenting responsibilities in religious training by teaching atheism through naturalism.

Facts actually do matter, and removing the bias against America's founding fathers is a good starting point for encouraging gratitude for the hard-won freedoms that we have.
